Welcome to my endurancepage
160 kilometres in one day
Through city and District of Aachen, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Special section for the winner Miguel Vila Ubach (59)
The Spanish rider Miguel Vila Ubach (ESP), 33, aboard the grey Arabian gelding Hungares, leading this group, won the Individual world title in Endurance!
Fase 1
Endurance riding is the equivalent of a marathon for horses, a discipline, which demands a higher degree of stamina from the riders and horses than any other.
The sport is very popular in the Netherlands.
The main vetgate is at the border triangle (Germany, Holland and Belgium), when the vets keep on examining the fitness of the animals.
The pair that comes in first, after 160 km, are not necessarily the winners: The horse has to reach the finishing line fit and healthy and pass the final vet check.
Gold can also be won by the best individual and by the best team.
